Training Azure by RHIPE at Microsoft Thailand

My note

1. Due to Facebook has many web server. After a user type domain name and press enter. Facebook uses traffic manager for redirect to a web server zone that is nearest a user.    Example a user is at Thailand. Facebook's traffic manager will redirect to Singapoere server that is nearest Thailand.
2. Veeam program is easy to migrate and upload to Azure.

Azure_4.Deattach disk

To remove disk.

Main Step   To do 5 minute
1.Deattach disk in virtual machine on Azure.

1.Choose virtual machine.

2.Click "Disks" menu.

3.Click "Edit" button.

4.Press button.

5.Press "Save" button. Successfully to deattach disk.

New data drive is removed as below picture.

Azure_3.Attach new disk

To attach new disk because disk's size is not enough.

Main Step  To do 20 Min
1.Attach new disk into virtual machine (same resource group) on Azure.
2.Add new unallocate disk from step1 into window on virtual machine.

Detail Step
1.Go to https://portal.azure.com > Virtual Machine > Choose virtual machine.
   This example choose virtual machine as "pranee".

2.Click setting "Disks" button > Click "Add data disk" button.

3.Click "Create disk" button on bottom menu.

4.Input Name > Click "Create" button on bottom menu.

5.Click "Save" button on top menu, Successfully, to add new disk into virtual machine (same resource group) on Azure.

6.Connect Virtual Machine. Open Disk Management Menu.
Click "Rescan Disks" or "Refresh" menu for showing new disk. Then you can see unallocated disk.

7.In the other hand, Open "Server Manager". Click "Rescan Storage" or  "Refresh" menu for searching and refresh new disk.

8.Right click "New Volume" menu.

9.Click "Next" button.

10.Click "Next" button.

11.Information alert below. Click "OK" button.

12.Click "Next" button.

13.Click "Next" button.

14.Click "Next" button.

15.Click "Create" button.

16.Click "Close" button. Successfully, to add new unallocate disk into window on virtual machine.

Result shows new drive 2 as below picture.

Result  shows new drive "New Volume (E:)" as below picture.

Result shows disk state is "Attached"as below picture.

My dream is create CONTOSO demo on Microsoft Azure.
This step is how to create Window server 2012 on Azure.

There are two GUI versions to do about MS Azure below:

• Classic(Old) version    https://manage.windowsazure.com
• Modern(New) version           https://portal.azure.com

This below example,  I explain how to create new virtual machine on MS Azure with modern version GUI.

..

1.After free subscription. It will show Dashboard screen as default.

2.Left pane, Click VM.

3.Top-Left menu. Click "Add" button.

4.Right Pane. Choose "Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter".
Then Right Pane. Choose "Resource Manger"

5.Input basic setting.

6.Click "View all".

7.Choose "A1 Basic" and press "Select" button.

8.Choose configure optional features.

9.View setting information. If information is not correct, you can click step1(Basic) - 3(Setting) for edit your setting. If your information is correct, press "OK". MS Azure will create a new Virtual Machine.

10.Left pane, Click "Virtual machines" for check your new Virtual machine.

11.Click "..." and Press "Connect" button.

12.Your remote connection(.rdp) setting will download into your PC.
This example is "pranee(1).rdp".

13.Double click on (your).rdp file (This example is "pranee(1).rdp") for connect your virtual machine on Microsoft Azure. Press Connect.

14.input domain name, user, password. 15.After you success login. You will see your virtual machine. Congratulation !!

15.Bottom-Left Pane. You can check your bill by click "Billing". There is not any charge.

16.Also you can check your invoice by click "Invoices".
